NEW course for November 2025! The 2 CE hour Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Harassment Awareness and Prevention course will define and explain domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. It provides massage therapists with information and examples on how to recognize signs and symptoms in victims and what to do in cases of confession and trauma response during a massage session. It also covers in detail prevention measures for sexual harassment in the massage workplace, including co-worker, supervisor, and client harassment. This course provides role play scenarios as well as common misconceptions of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. Finally, it will provide resources for therapists as well as clients on how to reach out for help. This course outlines:

  • Different types of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment
  • Warning signs and red flags of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment
  • Effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment on victims
  • Common misconceptions of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment
  • Strategies for massage therapists who recogonize signs of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or sexual harassment
  • Guidlines for preventing sexual harassment in a massage setting

This course is NCBTMB approved and meets the requirement of sexual harassment prevention and domestic violence and sexual assault awareness for the State of Illinois.
