Maryland Massage Therapy Continuing Education Requirements 2026

Please understand that massage laws change frequently and vary from state to state. We will try to provide you with the most current information possible. It is our understanding that currently, Maryland massage therapists need 24 CE hours of education every 2 years for license renewal and must include:

• 2 CE hours in diversity, cultural compentency, or implicit bias. We have the following courses that will meet that requirement:
  • Cultural Competence in Massage - 1 CE hour
  • Implicit Bias in Massage - 1 CE hour - Currently pending NCBTMB approval
• 3 CE hours of ethics or jurisprudence - any of our 3 CE hour ethics courses will work such as:
  • Ethics Refresher - 3 CE hours
  • Ethics, Boundaries and Client Relationships - 3 CE hours
  • Ethics, Beliefs and Regulations - 3 CE hours
• 3 CE hours of communicable disease education, including HIV/AIDS
  • Communicable Disease - HIV/AIDS - 3 CE hours
• 16 CE hours in massage related courses
• A current CPR certificate

Please note that all of our courses can be used for NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) recertification, our approved provider number is 409296-00. You may also use any of our CE courses for renewal with organizations such as the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals).
