About the Instructors

Corrine Rubida

Corrine Rubida, BS, LMT

Corrine completed her massage therapy training at Gateway College of Massage Therapy in 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration in 2012. She has been practicing and teaching massage therapy since 1997 and currently holds a massage therapy license in South Dakota. She is also a member of the ABMP. In 2002, Corrine founded the Center for Massage Therapy CE to make professional massage continuing education courses available both online and by mail. Since then, she has developed more than 100 home-study massage continuing education courses and has taught live courses for AMTA and the Gateway College of Massage Therapy.

Celia Bucci, LMT

Celia graduated from the Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy in 2002. Her continuing education has focused on learning what contributes to common pain complaints, methods for reducing pain and improving movement, and the research supporting both. She’s taught in entry-level massage therapy schools and continuing education programs. She wrote Condition Specific Massage Therapy for massage therapists interested in learning to apply basic techniques to address the specific symptoms of conditions such as headaches, neck, shoulder, low back, hip and knee pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, sprains, muscle strain and tendinitis. The book is used in Massage Therapy schools across the country and is available in Japanese and Korean. Celia has received the 2010 AMTA-IL Distinguished Service Award and the 2012 AMTA-IL Meritorious Award.

Dr. Melissa Dawahare, NMD, RN

Melissa Dawahare, NMD, RN, is a naturopathic medical doctor and a registered nurse with 30 years of experience in the medical field. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Nursing and Sonoran University of Health Sciences, formerly the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Dawahare is the author of several of our continuing education courses including Acupressure Basics, Essential Oils Overview, Massage and Migraines, and Massage and Fibromyalgia Syndrome.
