The 6 CE hour Advanced Swedish Massage course will outline and illustrate the methods for performing the foundational massage therapy techniques of Swedish massage and the advanced applications of Swedish techniques for common complaints you may encounter in your practice. For both beginner and advanced therapists, this course will present the basic strokes used in Swedish massage and give two different sequences for performing a full body Swedish massage as well as indications of Swedish techniques for common complaints. Draping procedures are also presented as well as room preparation and contraindications.
This course will present:
Definition of Swedish massage strokes and the effect they have on the body
Application of Swedish techniques for common complaints you may encounter such as arthritis, back pain, chronic fatigue, headaches, muscle tension, and sciatica
Two different sequences for a general full-body Swedish massage
Details on room preparation
Contraindications to Swedish massage
