Please understand that massage laws change frequently and vary from state to state. We will try to provide you with the most current information possible.
It is our understanding that currently, Florida massage therapists are required to complete 24 CE hours every 2 years. Florida therapists renew every odd numbered year on or before August 31. Of the 24 CE hour requirement, you can complete up to 12 CE hours in "general" format and 12 hours must be "relevant to and focused on massage therapy techniques". We are an approved provider for the state of Florida and our hours are approved as "general" hours so you can use any of our courses to fulfill 12 hours of your coursework. Our Florida approved provider number is 50-7946. Our courses are classified as general hours do NOT count as live hours. We are working on getting some of our CE hours approved as "relevant to and focused on massage therapy techniques" and will update when those courses are approved.
Of those 24 CE hours, therapists must complete the following required coursework:
We have the following packages available to make completing your mandatory courses and general/online requirements easy:
Florida 12 Hour Mandatory and General Package - 12 CE hours
Florida Mandatory Courses Package 1 - 7 CE hours
Forida Mandatory Courses Package 2 - 8 CE hours
You can verify this information or contact the state of Florida with further questions by visiting the Florida Board of Massage Therapy.
Please note that all of our courses can be used for NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) recertification, our approved provider number is 409296-00. You may also use any of our CE courses for renewal with organizations such as the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals).
