Washington, DC Continuing Education Requirements

Please understand that massage laws change frequently and vary from state to state. We will try to provide you with the most current information possible.

It is our understanding that currently, Washington, DC massage therapists must complete 14 CE hours for renewal. Of the 14 CE hours:

• 3 CE hours in ethics - any of our 3 CE hour ethics courses are accepted
• 2 CE hours in LGBTQ cultural competency
• 9 CE hours in massage-related course work, 6 of which shall be in massage technique courses
• 10% (1.5 hours) of public health priorities - ethics qualifies as public health priorities
• Current CPR and First AID certification

You can take up to 6 CE hours from us if 3 of the hours are in ethics. If you have already taken youe ethics hours, then you may take up to 3 CE hours from us.

Please note that all of our courses can be used for NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) recertification, our approved provider number is 409296-00. You may also use any of our CE courses for renewal with organizations such as the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals).
